Demystifying Gen AI: Leading members into the Future of Technology

As the National Vice President of Events for OASiS (Organization of Asian Indians at AT&T), I strongly advocated for and co-led the “Demystifying AI” initiative in 2024, a 15-session virtual series designed to make Generative AI accessible and actionable for employees of all technical backgrounds.

Program Highlights:

  • Educational Leadership: Created and presented the first three sessions—“Introduction to AI,” “Prompt Engineering,” and “Platforms & Tools”—to set the stage for the series and generate enthusiasm among employees.
  • Collaboration with Experts: Partnered with industry leaders and internal experts to deliver webinars on topics like Intelligent Automation and AT&T Innovations in AI, enriching the learning experience with diverse perspectives.
  • Community Engagement: Managed a dedicated Yammer group to share recorded sessions, answer questions, and facilitate ongoing discussions, creating a collaborative AI learning hub.
  • Impact Measurement: Designed surveys for each session, analyzing attendee feedback to continuously improve content and measure the program’s success.

This initiative reflects my passion for leveraging technology to drive collective growth and my belief in the power of education to unlock innovation and potential within teams.

Impact:

  • Helped employees leverage Generative AI tools like company approved ChatGPT into workplace processes and showcased how other similar tools can be used for personal tasks.
  • Fostered a culture of curiosity and innovation by encouraging cross-functional knowledge sharing.
  • Personally gained invaluable insights from company-wide collaboration and expert-led sessions.
